AV & Technical Support

Event AV and technical support across Europe, from rig to derig

Event AV and technical support is the sound, lighting, video and power that makes a room work, plus the crew that installs it, runs it and takes it back out again. WMG Event Support delivers all four disciplines from one technical team, so you brief one lead instead of chasing an audio company, a lighting company and a rigging crew separately. We work in conference centres, exhibition halls, festival sites and corporate venues across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the wider European circuit.

Most technical problems at an event are not equipment problems, they are timing problems. A truss that cannot go up because the floor is still being built. A power order that arrived after the venue closed its deadline. A video feed nobody tested until the room was full. We plan the technical schedule against the build schedule, so the rig, the content and the crew arrive in the right order and the show does not depend on the last hour before doors.

Sound and audio systems

Line array, point source and distributed systems, mixed and tuned on site. Speaker microphones, in-ear monitoring, comms and recording feeds included.

Stage and event lighting

Wash, spot and profile fixtures, moving heads and architectural colour, programmed before the day so the room looks right from the first minute.

LED walls and video

LED panels, projection, screens and camera feeds, with signal routing, playback and content checked on the real screen before doors open.

Rigging and truss

Ground support, truss towers and hung points, calculated against the venue load plan and signed off before anything leaves the floor.

Power and distribution

Temporary power, distro, cabling and generator support, sized against the real load of the rig rather than a rounded guess.

Technical crew on site

Operators, stagehands and technicians who stay for the show, not only for the build. One technical lead owns the call sheet and the changes.

Site survey and rig plot

A walk of the venue, technical drawings, a rig plot and a build schedule that matches what the hall and its regulations actually allow.

Build-up and derig

Load-in, install, show, strike and load-out on the venue clock, with transport booked through the group so the trucks match the slot.

Why Choose Us

One technical team instead of four suppliers

When sound, light, video and rigging come from different companies, the gaps between them become your problem. WMG Event Support puts all of it under one technical lead, with our own crew and transport through the WMG group. One plan, one call sheet and one number to ring when something changes on the day.

Questions

AV and technical questions we get asked

The questions that come up most often when an organiser is scoping the technical side of an event.

What does event AV and technical support include?

Sound, lighting, video, rigging and power, plus the crew that installs, operates and removes them. In practice it also covers the planning around it: the site survey, the rig plot, the power order to the venue and the build schedule that keeps all of it in sequence. On exhibitions we usually run it alongside stand building, so the rig and the stand are planned as one job.

How far ahead should we book event technical support?

For a standard conference or corporate event, six to eight weeks is comfortable. For festivals, large exhibitions and anything that needs rigging sign-off from the venue, three months is more realistic, because hall slots and rigging points are allocated early.

Can you work in a venue that already has a house AV supplier?

Yes. Some venues require power, rigging or internet to be bought through the house supplier. We plan around that, order in house what has to be ordered in house, and bring the rest of the rig ourselves.

Do you supply equipment or only crew?

Both. You can hire the full technical package with crew, or book crew only if you already have equipment or the venue has a house system in place. For crew without equipment, see stagehands and event technicians and concert and live event crew.

Which countries do you cover?

Our home markets are the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. We travel to the wider European fair and event circuit, and transport runs through WMG Technical Logistics inside the same group.

What happens if something fails during the show?

Crew stays on site for the duration of the event, not only for the build. Critical items such as amplifiers, dimmers and playback machines are specified with a spare wherever the schedule and the budget allow.

Planning the technical side of your next event?

Send us the venue, the dates and what has to happen in the room. You get a technical plan and a price, not a brochure.
