Stand Building

Two-storey custom-built exhibition stand with backlit fabric panels, a product wall and an upper meeting deck, lit from an overhead truss in a European trade fair hall

Exhibition stand building across Europe, from first drawing to empty floor

Stand building is the design, production, transport, on-site assembly and dismantle of an exhibition stand. WMG Event Support covers all five in one contract, so you brief one team and keep one point of contact from the first drawing to the empty floor after the show. We build custom stands, modular systems and hybrids of the two, for halls in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the wider European fair circuit.

Most exhibitors lose money on the parts of a stand nobody photographs: a truck that misses its slot, a hall regulation caught too late, a rigging point that was never ordered. We work the other way round. Your floor plan, the organiser’s technical manual and the build-up window drive the design, so the stand that arrives is the stand that was approved and it goes up in the hours you actually have. Part of World Wide Mobility Group, which means the crew, the equipment and the transport come from the same family of companies.

Stand building sits inside our wider event support services, alongside AV and technical support and stagehands and event technicians.

Custom stand design

3D design, technical drawings and material choices, checked against the hall rules and your floor plan before anything is built.

Modular stand systems

Reusable aluminium and fabric systems that travel well and reconfigure, for exhibitors doing several fairs a year.

In-house production

Carpentry, counters, walls and tensioned fabric panels produced and dry-built in the workshop before they leave for the hall.

Graphics and branding

Large format print, backlit panels, vinyl and signage, colour matched to your brand guidelines.

AV, lighting and power

LED walls, screens, spot lighting, sound and the power and rigging that has to be ordered from the organiser in advance.

Build-up and dismantle crew

Carpenters, riggers and stagehands who work your build-up window, including night shifts and tight turnarounds.

Transport and logistics

Collection, the hall delivery slot, on-site handling and the return leg once the show closes.

Storage and reuse

Your stand stored between fairs, inspected, repaired and refreshed so the next show starts from a known state.

Why Choose Us

One team for the stand, the crew and the transport

Most exhibitors end up with a stand builder, a separate AV supplier, a transport company and a crewing agency, then spend the build-up window on the phone between them. WMG carries all four inside one group, so there is one plan, one delivery window and one person answerable for it. When something slips on the day it gets solved on the floor instead of escalated by email.

Questions

Stand building questions we get asked

Short, direct answers on lead times, cost drivers and the choice between a custom build and a modular system. If your question is not here, send the floor plan and the fair name and we will answer it against your actual brief.

What does stand building include?

Design, technical drawings, production of the stand, transport to the hall, the on-site build, the AV and power fit-out, dismantle and storage afterwards. You can take the whole chain or only the parts you are missing.

How far ahead should we book a stand builder?

For a custom stand, ten to twelve weeks before the fair is comfortable. Design and approval take two to three weeks, production three to four, and organiser deadlines for rigging, power and water usually close around six weeks out. A modular build can be turned around faster.

What does an exhibition stand cost?

Cost follows floor size, build height, whether there is an upper deck and how much is custom made rather than modular. A modular stand on a small floor plan is the cheapest route per fair, a custom double-deck the most expensive. We quote per project once we have the floor plan and the organiser’s technical manual, not from a price list.

Custom stand or modular system?

Custom when the stand itself is the message and you exhibit once or twice a year at flagship fairs. Modular when you do several fairs a year and want the same kit to travel, reconfigure to different floor sizes and be stored between shows.

Do you build outside the Netherlands?

Yes. We work the European fair circuit, with the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany as home markets, and we arrange the transport inside the group rather than handing it to a third party.

Can you take over a stand somebody else designed?

Yes. We can produce and build from an existing design, or handle build-up and dismantle only if the stand already exists. We check the drawings against the hall rules first and tell you what will not pass.

Planning your next stand?

Send us the fair, the floor plan and your build-up window. You get a stand design proposal and one price for the whole chain: production, transport, build, crew and dismantle.
